ART BASEL MIAMI 2015
#theunDoneProject Project 1

the unDone Project, Art Basel Miami, 2015
Visual artist, music aficionado, philanthropist and cancer survivor; these are the elements of which Quiana Parks is comprised. Born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey to a single mother Quiana's artistic expression draws upon her life experiences, past and present. Her earliest work (seen below) was created on the heels of her cancer remission. Affectionately titled "Sistahs" this piece touches upon the unwavering support Quiana received during one of her life's most vulnerable moments. Her style has since evolved into what she describes as "high-end doodles using canvas and oils" or "undone".
The Undone Project takes references from the facial characteristics of ethnic men and women, culminating in a series of uncolored, sketch-like faces. "The beauty of the Undone Project is in its simplicity and incompleteness. I relate closely because I consider myself an undone or ever-evolving project."
Exhibited December 2 - 6, 2015
